I live near Nottingham and run an Audi R8. I have always wanted a defender 90 and so I have picked up a 1998 low mileage 300 tdi, actually it arrives Monday and to be fair I am more excited than when I was due to collect the R8 and I am in my mid 40's!
I aim to keep the defender for local journeys although I am considering taking it to Spain to spend some time on Menorca.
Here are some of my questions as I want this to look the part
1) I want to get some Matt black Zu Alloys with Goodrich tyres, what would you guys/gals suggest and what remedial work/parts would need to be done to support the 18x7?
2) I think I will need to get the suspension lifted, what is the best package? Bearing in mind I am only going to use Light To Medium Duty.
3) Where is the nearest 4x4 shop I like to support local independent businesses unless the cost is prohibitive.
