Hi all

I find my seats in my wee Bessie, quite comfy, and indeed on the 120 mile trip back home on the day that I bought her, I found that the bouncing and fixed seating position actually CURED the sciatica I had at the time.

However, I'm now wondering if, from a safety point of view, if I should replace them with seats that have head restraints.

Any recommendations, on ones that would "slot in" to the existing space/runners (there aren't runners are there? God I'm thick ), anyway. You get my drift.

Cheers

Well not those exact ones. Thems expensive.

Exmoor trim do direct replacements which are high backed with head restraints. Using a couple myself. They're really comfy and use the same mounting points. They're literally 2 holes.

Trakkers Extreme Seat
These just here. They are £80 but they came with mine so im happy.
They're pretty good I think unless you want to make your own mounting points for some others you find, but try evilBay first.

The key feature when looking for replacement seats for a Series (I suspect the same applies to coilers) is the depth of the cushion, especially if you are a bit tall. I'm only 6' but many of the Series I have sat in with alternative seats leave me stooping to see out of the windscreen. Depth of the cushion includes the depth of runners etc.
From memory the best I have driven (I didn't buy it for other reasons) had Ranault 20 seats fitted.

Hi

I'm looking into all those options, many thanks, but I'm confoooz'd as I don't know of a Renault 29. My dad's had 8 of them over the years, and I can't recall that one.

Cheers
