Hi all my rear tailgate is locked and failing to open manually or by remote. Been told its the actyuator so have ordered new one. Just wounderd if anyone has done one and offer any best methods on h9w to replace ie how door card comes off etc. A real pain not being able toget anythng out of boot. Thanks in advance.

And rear inner door cardboard. Maybe something come adrift?
Get yourself a 'Rave' CD or look in the Haynes manwell as the piccys really help ...
Could well be electrical, but when it happened to me it was crud that had over a period built up in the mechanism. It gets up under the outside handle. As said above, use a thin bladed instrument to prise off the green oval and that gives you access to the working parts there. A liberal lubrication and that worked for me. Got to be worth a try before the wallet comes out.
