hey everyone. The strangest thing is happening with my Freelanders rear window. I parked it outside and it worked perfectly after a re-calibration. I lowered the window with the key fob and raised it with the tailgate lock, it worked perfectly. I put the car into first gear, drove onto my drive and lowered the window with the switch. It then closed perfectly as it should.
So then I drove to Morrisons and lowered the window, when I tried to raise it, it went all the way to the top and then lowered itself to the bottom. I had to raise it 5 or 6 times until it stayed up. This seems to be a common thing for me. It works perfect near my house but anywhere else it plays up. I mean it could be worse it could always play up i'm just wondering what everyone suggests.

Thanks

Sam

Its a real **** design . . . .in your case and mine its the motor, well not the actual motor :) the motor unit has segment proxisters that sends a signal to the phooter ,that way it can measure lenth , and when it gets to the top needs to know if door is open or shut to add on or orft its silly final shut bit , yours is loosing its bleeps and getting all confused . . . . i got so fed up with mine i have modded it so you can always open the door [mine used to jam up] was going to put the mod on this forum when i get around to it , stoopid thing is it now silly drops every time [so i can open the door] can we now call it the silly door drop fing :):):)

on the rear window you can stop it on the way down and it will stay there but you can not stop it on the way up or it will go back down again maybe this sensor has gone or going
