Hi all, my tailgate window only seems to go up and down when the tailgate door is open. The window lowers slightly and raises slightly as normal when you open the tailgate door. I've noticed that the rear wiper seems to stop in random places and wondered if this could be linked?

I'm just a new owner of a 2000 model which I bought as a weekend runaround and not particularly mechanically minded. Can anyone offer any advice please?
