Panic Over

Member
Hi all, I've been lurking around the forum & reading the FAQ's but I cannot find what I need. I have a five door 2001 Freelander 1 TD4 Auto
The tailgate opens easily, window drops, everything fine. Almost every other time, when I shut it, it won't engage.
What I can't find out is, is it the micro switch in the handle, that works fine on opening, or the solenoid inside the door, again works fine opening, that I need to replace.
Again, I'm sorry if this has been posted before but I've been looking for it for over a month.
Thanks,
Toni

It's the solenoid inside the door lazy/ sticking, till you fix it, with the door open, squeeze the handle promptly several times till you hear the solenoid "whirr", then the door will shut perfectly

Thanks, I'll try that. Can I fix the solenoid, or should I get a replacment?

Good to hear it is sorted!

Always to read a thread that has the OP update on what the problem was and how it was solved.
