Hi all

Recently acquired a freelander, tail light on passenger side does not work, tried a new bulb, the double filament type but no joy, also the insturment panel where the electric windows heater controls are suddenly stopped working, checked fuses all okay, is there a bulb i need to change and how do you dismantel the housing to get to the connections ? :(

Many thanks

Tail lamp - check the wiring with a multimeter or test bulb to see if the bulb holder is or connnection is dodgy.

Instrument panel - you don't say what year your vehicle is, but it is fairly easy operation on most. Pull the three heater control knobs firmly and they will come off. You will see some screws inside, two I think. Simply remove them and the panel will come off. You can then replace the blown bulb with the right part - part no LJWH100080. Costs about £3 from a LR dealer but available elsewhere.

Cheers
