Hi, I have 2 mk1 freelanders (1 petrol for spares) and a diesel, I want to swap the rear axles, the only difference I can see is the output drive shafts, is it a case of just swapping the drive shafts or are the internals different, would appreciate any advice before I start pulling them all apart, cheers

Update on my axle swap (just in case someone else is in the same boat) checked output ratio of drive shafts to input shaft and both where the same, also noticed that they had the same casing numbers, popped out drive shafts, popped in original diesel shaft, changed oil, rebuilt, job done, runs sweet as a nut, if I ever need a replacement axle for my diesel freelander, I will search for a petrol axle as most of them have done a lot less miles, hope this helps someone else
