Hello

I have just been looking through the service history on a newly acquired D2 TD5 (2002 facelift).

There is a report on a Land Rover invoice in 2008 (the last invoice I have) stating: "suspension drops at nsr - suspect air bag".

Is anyone able to say from experience how I can tell if this has since been rectified (it doesn't LOOK as if its dropped - vehicle sits level, to the eye), or, if it still needs doing, what would a likely fitted cost be to rectify?

Thanks in advance!

£60 approx per bag. Replace yourself as its easy. And do both at the same time. Check your existing bags by switching ride height to high and spray bags with a soap and water mix. Check for bubbles. Usually where bags fold in on themselves and road grit has eroded them.

Thank you both. Much obliged.

£60 per side plus fitting sounds quite reasonable. I was expecting worse!

I will do the water test!

Best wishes

Paddock Spares sell Dunlop ones (Orig Equip) for £63.80+vat each. Fitting is very easy and should take about 20mins each side to do.

And, before someone else says it fast, change em quick before it burns the compressor out, or you'll be forking out a lot more!
