hi, my ecu has packed up and needs replacement (2005 TD5). They are no longer being made, and wondered whether anyone can recommend a business or private reseller? I'm cautious about shelling out a lot of cash to a stranger on ebay.

Also, has anyone had dealings with empire_tuning or bradford4x4spares, both are ebay shops?

Have a look at "ECU TESTING" [ Defender section] on line. They list common issues with the ECU and repair units.

No I have a 200tdi but a neighbours TD5 was sorted.

Not sure if they deal with Ecu issues, but Tom at Twinwoods 4x4 is a brilliant company to deal with
