****ing loose dog decided that it wanted to fight my dogs who were in the boot of the RR, end result a **** load of superficial scratch-marks to the tailgate of my Burgundy 2000 plate Vogue.

Any suggestions about best way to deal with them...preferably not involving a shot-gun ??

gentle aplication of t cut with a pea sized bit of farecla g3 if the lacquer isn't broken- do not go mad with it as it will go through and keep rag wet with t-cut
 
Lightly buff scratches with Farecla G4 and then polish. If the Farecla is too mild, try rubbing compound but just keep a careful eye on what you are doing otherwise you might rub right through the paint.
