hi all, just a quick one has anyone herd of sunroof blanking panels if so do you no where i can get them it's so i can remove the sunroofs and rivet metal plates in that seal and then no more leaking sunroofs infaced no more sunroofs cos mine are ****ing me off got socked again today I'm welding all the floor in my disco but still letting in water so i will be welding for nothing if i don't stop the leaking roof thank Colin:mad:

If you are going to seal a plate in place you may as well just reseal the sunroof and then every thing looks original.

but for how long will that last? ive been told that you can get these for £38 each but he cant remember where he got them

I have never heard of sunroof blanking panels but as has already been stated, if you seal around the frame to the roof properly, and then seal the glass to the frame it should not be able to leak, and you still have light coming in. It would certainly look better also as any panels fitted would look grim from the inside unless you fitted another headlining. My sunroof was ****ing in water, and it poured out from the interior light which when driving landed in my crotch area, great, I look like and escapee from an old folks home. It's all sorted now though even with snow on the roof for weeks.

hi all Ive removed the roof lining and the sunroofs both leak from the screws and the front one from the cup at the top of the drain pipe. And one of the top roof window is leaking too but only a very small amount of rust on the corner just see it piping out of the top of the window rubber think I'm gonna take both sunroofs out and clean them up and refit. any advice would be good on what sealant to use and how to remove and refit top window thank again Colin
