Jeez, so one of the little sliders responsible for lifting the rear of the sunroof glass has snapped inside the sunroof cassette.
Although maintained and after 23yrs it has popped and left the glass dropped at one corner. Thankfully I noticed the noise on the motorway and didn't pop the glass... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
My question is am I dropping the when thigh out or has anybody replaced one in situ?
I've ordered a slider kit and if I have to drop it out, I'll do the headliner as well.... (yeah, really looking forward to that one) ๐Ÿฅบ

There is a sun roof on my scrapper if you are stuck for parts. :)

I've got am assembly on the scrapper here but for the moment I've hammed a cloth under the frame to stop it dropping.. Bloody thing. We are away this weekend so it couldn't have happen at a better time๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
But thank you Keith, it's very kind of you. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Jeez what a job, I saw a vid on pootube that explains how to remove the sliders without removing the sun roof cassette. Hey presto, repaired๐Ÿ˜Ž total degrease and fresh grease and new sliders both sides. I decided not to replace the little lifting arms as the original parts are metal. A bit of filing in a couple of areas and no interference on the mechanism at all. Nice win for the weekend. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I replaced mine in situ, was a pain but doable to be sure! Bits of skin and drops of blood around but got the bits in. I ordered a full valeo repair kit from turkey.
