Hi, just registered - read about a guy asking about General Grabbers AT2. We spoke with a friend yesterday who had these fitted to his Disco 2 V8, and he says they are the only all weather tyre he would fit, and he drives all over the UK in all weather, a lot off road for his business, so I tend to believe what he says.
We are looking to put a set of these on our 05 RRSport which was well out of it last winter when it came to getting out of our yard on polished snow with "ordinary" road tyres (Goodyear). Any comments?

:welcome2: to LZ:)

The type of tyre depends on what will be the best compromise. Only you know what sort of surface you will be driving on. AT's or winter tyres will grip better on polished/compressed snow. More chunky tyres will work better in deep snow. Be sure to look at the bigger picture rather than just what surface you have on your driveway. The next most important thing after tyre choice is the nut behind the wheel. Lead foot is your worst enemy on snow and ice. Everytime it snows I get sent out to 'bogged' vehicles that aren't bogged but its simply that the driver is incapable of adjusting to the weather/road conditions.
