so landys been parked up for 2 weeks since the salisbury plain outing

we fitted bow 2 motor tonight and fitted a new rear solenoid for the rear winch

then i went to move the disco and it wont start afeckingain after i fitted a new starter before last trip and it was fine
but i left it in reverse as handbrake is ****ed and now it wont budge i just cannot get it out of gear..

could gearbox, clutch etc be possibly full of mud n water somehow? i was submerged for a while:mad:

Clutch could be gunked up.....I'd give it a little tug with another vehicle with the clutch depressed....Have you taked the wading plug OUT since?

have you bashed the starter with a starting basher lump a metal yet ?
but done it when someones turning the key to "start"

Update..
I hate landrovers....

Cant even budge the hi/low gearstick either its stuck solid aswell, tried pushing landy back to see if it releases of the gear but that dont work

Do i risk giving it a tug forward or could that cause more problems?

To be honest mate it sounds more like take the box off. Less chance of braking anything.

Maybe drop the props off to push it, that way you won't feck the gearboxes up further! Definitely sounds like a gearbox/clutch problem ...

Have you been in any muddy water lately, you know, like needing winching out of muddy water that was over your huuuge tyres? ;) It does sound like silt and ****e has got in .. though I guess it could also be the diffs ..
