after talking to a mechanic i've been told i've got a stuck valve on my 1975 series 3 2.25 diesel

just wondering what would be the best way to un stick it ?

he reccomened spaying lareg ammounts of wd40 into the air inlet to free it up but this sounds a bit crazy to me and just wondered what everyone elses view on this would be

cheers

first job remove the rocker cover, second job find the valve which is sticking most likely problem is a broken valve sping then take it from there

yes it will hit the piston, remove the rocker cover find the valve by checking the tappit clerance, if the valve spring is broken (unlikely) remove head and replace, if the vave has rusted through sitting then use deisel on it and lever under the spring cap until it is free
