hello,

I'm currently stuck in Zagora with my TD5 on my own after driving and finding the injectors were passing diesel into the sump. Went to change the orings and washers at a garage and they had the wrong ones. Went to put them back and it didn't like it and has now stopped. Awaiting parts from Casablanca but if anyone knows an English speaker, is coming to Zagora or knows of a good tow company that would be good.

Cheers,

Nick

Sorry for the delay (holed up with flu :( )

We've not got any specific contacts in Morocco but I know people have used Ali Racing in Zagora

Sorry to hear you had flu, still got mine too (albeit more a man cold) I'll see if I can find them cheers

Another good reason why you should have a 300tdi look at all the problems on here with the TD5s yuk

I know, wish could offer more help. It's everybody who makes the trips biggest nightmare. Good luck mate, hope help comes soon

No English speakers at Iriki? Get yourself booked into a hotel with a pool whilst you wait for the seals (I reccomend the Fibule du Draa but there are plenty others) and get one of the English speaking staff to accompany you to the garage to translate, 20Dh should cover the help. Getting towed anywhere will be very expensive and unless you get to a Land Rover dealer in Marrakech or Cassablanca you're unlikely to find better mechanics than in Zagora. If they said the seals were in stock then they will arrive but it may well take more than the promised 24 hours.

The guys in Zagora are excellent, my oil cooler sprung a bad leak, they fabricated something to get me home tool about 3 hours were very good. I understand what you mean though about the TD5 a mate of mine had a problem and was stuck for a day or two. I've done it a few times now and luckily in our team if anything went wrong we managed to get it sorted

I shared this to our Yorkshire page because Russell runs trips to Morocco, this is his reply

Russell Dykes Sue, he is in the best place, they do speak pretty good English and I have seen them do some pretty tricky jobs even working through the night. I would trust them and td5 should not be a problem. Has they injectors been put back in the correct order?

Hi Sue, many thanks. Yeah the injectors seem to be in the right order, just seems to be an issue with the copper washers so more on the way today. Hopefully be mobile later today fingers crossed
