Hi all,

Driver's outside handle has long been playing up, usual adjustments made inside the door, always ok to open from the inside but yesterday it no longer opens from in or out, both handles function but it doesn't "pop" before opening. Managed to get the card off, all bits where they should be and adjusted again. Is it possible that the antiburst lock has jammed locked - seems an option. How can I get to the innards to open it? Only option I can see is to grind off the bolt on the body to open the door and replace it but this seems a bit drastic.

Any ideas gratefully received!

Getting a bit sick of clambering over the transmission tunnel............

Thanks

Giles

My passenger doors temperamental, opened from the inside it'll open every time, whereas the outside you have to have the knack, mines due to a stump jumping out at a pay and play but it may be worth giving the door a sharp tug from the inside whilst the handles pulled before you start cutting things.

Thanks for the advice, but this is well and truly stuck, I've adjusted both the pulls and makes no difference (and the inside was always functional), still suspect the door latch, carrying on climbing!

Had an interesting one on our old V8...

Put the key into the lock part way and give it a small turn and try again.
Used to work every time for me.
The cure was to nip up the fixings holding the latch to the door which had worked a little loose.
