Rear drivers break has stuck solid and I can not get hub off, any ideas.

I accidentally started the landy in reverse gear and realised I hand to stand on the brakes before it went through the brick wall of the extension. The rear drivers wheel has stuck solid and I cannot get the brake drum hub off. I'm recently new to this and cannot fathom out why the hub is stuck!!!!

Try driving forwards to see if it frees off.

Have you undone the brake drum screw?

Wind the snail cams in to retract the shoes.

Quite often the shoes make a groove in the drum which makes them really difficult to remove. I've had them grooved so badly I;ve had to smash the drums to get them off.

Once you have slackened off the snail cam adjuster you might have to release the bleed valve to get the pistons back in. There should be a threaded hole in the brake drum that you can put a bolt in and extract the drum. Otherwise, it's brute force and ignorance....

Could be that because you pressed so hard it has compromised a seal and either pressurised somewhere or drawn air in through on the return.

Club Hammer and Lump Of Wood, hit it all round at diagonal opposites from the back, make sure you wind the snails in first.

sounds like the snail cam as stuck on the pin on its peak point, spanner on the cam adjuster and tap it as the same time as you turn it,
