Part way through a job and I’ve come to this. The nut won’t move (may need splitting or heating) and the bolt doesn’t turn.

I’m assuming this is a moveable bolt and not a permanent fixture. Can anyone confirm?

In my hand you’ll see what snapped off from the underside without too much pressure being applied.

Should be bolts on the bottom left of the pic............(double nutted items)

Are you taking the roof off? The other 1/2 of the bolt will come out

No, I’m attempting to fit one of these brackets to reattach the rear seatbelt.

You will need to lift the roof a bit to cut the bolt & then remove the disk part.
Parts look like the earlier photo from @kevstar

Once part removed you could just replace with long bolt @ washer into the bottom tube

Thanks Phill! I’ll look for some other threads on how to lift the roof. Can’t imagine there will be many bolts to remove to get that back corner up.

As they are water trap areas make sure you have a supply of the fixings incase you have to replace

Thought…

Can you drill from the top from small to large drill downward until you break the weld on that washer?
Replace them with threaded rod. No need to remove or raise roof.

That could be the way to go. Think that will be this afternoon's mission. I'll report back

Ended up combining both bits of advice. Drilling the bolt out didn’t break the weld but did allow me to shorten it enough to be able to lift the rear tub(?) enough to knock it out.

I’ve then fitted a larger bolt straight through to fit my bracket, which is now sitting nicely.

Just need to remember to reseal the rear now as it’s pulled away the original sealant.
