Any Ideas.
I bought a 1981 series 111 at the weekend, and allthough i thought the gearbox was tight, when it gets warm i cant find 1st & second gear.

Is it possible to adjust the gate positions, or is it more likely a lemon of a box?????

Sounds like it could be worn 1st/2nd syncro. Mine did this so it got rebuilt. Perfect now, like a car!

Also, i had to change my gear stick as the other snapped. The new one was in a slightly different position so when selecting 1st i had to push it slightly more to the right. Its not something silly like that is it?
