Hi

I was replacing my rear bump stops and welding under both and I noticed one side had a strappy thing and the otherside did not....On futher investigations the strappy mounting "u" thing was missing also ,so even if I had a strappy thing I could not mount it ,that probably why the bump stop was just hanging there....

I have now made a nice mounting ,before I bust a gutt trying to find another strappy thing ,what are they for...?

Maybe a fail safe to catch the axle if it falls off?

Mick...

Ta ....:D

Paddocks , I have found my own landy dealer :D

He would be even better if he dropped the VAT...

But there`s time...:)

One of mine is in place, the other is broken/rotted.....

How important are they? Keep forgetting to order a new pair.....

unless you are planning on driving flat out over salisbury plain, they aint that importantr, they are usually fitted to ex mod landies

To the best of my knowledge mine aint ex MOD....

Guess the straps only stop too much downward travel on the axle, but I assume with leaf springs they aint going to go anywhere anyway??? They cant dislocate or anything as they are held by the clamps at either end...

The best thing you can do my friend is use a second hand cargo/rachet strap the breaking strain is 3 ton easy to drill and cut i can send you a piece i you like?
