Is it just me? For the past few weeks, I cannot get into the site anywhere without waiting nearly a minute. This message sometimes comes up: 'Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing internet explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive.'
This message does not always appear. If I tell it to stop running the script, the site responds instantly.
I use a lot of other sites, but only Landyzone is doing this. I really don't want to stop using the site - it is brilliant - but I can't stand this much longer. Help!!

How strange as this has started happening to me today, but only using Google Chrome. If I log in with IE it doesn't happen.

Well, I left it for a week, and today it seems ok again. Has anything been altered or was it just my pc showing its independence?? I'm so glad I don't have to leave this lively site. :)

Two PC's I use to access the site were doing the same, it was a script that was on a loop. I changed a registry key to stop scripts after 1 cycle and that fixed it, however it's stopped on the other PC now anyway so suspect it was something on the site.

Yes, I'll have a go, but AVG updates itself every day anyway. Funny how sometimes new versions of software are worse than the old ones. I won't be beaten by a machine! Now, where's my lump hammer...

Don't just update it, you have to RUN the AV to scan your machine and do it regulary, not just once. Do it once a month at least.

I know your a bloke, but please read the instructions that come with your AV software.

Had the same sort of thing a few months back , where LZ took ages to load up where other sites where fine . tryed several things to no avail . left it at that and it cleared itself - loads up just as quick as other sites . might be related ? .

re: running AV scan - it is scheduled to run weekly, and it has got rid of some nasty problems in the past. The scans recently haven't flagged anything up though. Whatever has happened, the site is now fine for me. Perhaps logging on at 10:30 pm helps?
