As you can see from the attachment below is a nifty little piece of kit which you clip onto the axle to stop articulation when changing a tyre as you cannot get 6ft jacks!!!!! :D:DThis is attached to a lowered shock mounts. I don’t want to do this as already have a 2” lift kit which isn’t for the lowered shock mounts. :rolleyes: and from experience have to jack the old girl pretty high on the farm jack to lift the wheels up and it is rather un-stable is there any other ideas or equipment to aid me in doing this.

The first bit use an image host site.

The second bit you can use a strap whether you have lowered shock mounts or not, plus you most probably will be able to use lowered shock mounts (should u wish) with your current setup

Yes don't know why that first link came up!

Can you get a "check strap" for the standard shock mounts as well then and if so do you know where from?
 
Im not a fan of saying this as if everyone "did a search" chances are every post would have been covered in one way or another and then the forum would just end up a non specific chat hub, but "do a search on Google" or just go on a good 4x4 off road parts website and have a look through.

I've always jacked from the axle though, got a hi-lift but never once used it
 
or get an hilift wheel lift strap if it's just for getting the wheel out of the mud.
 
Yes I have a bottle jack and am at the moment jacking up from the axle but have yet to have a flat tyre while axle deep in mud! So am looking into solving the problem before I have a problem!
 
Honestly now, would you really change a tyre deep in mud getting u and all ur equip full of ****e......... i wouldnt, u would just get recoverd to some flat solid ground n do it there, chances are you wouldnt notice u had a puncture untill u were on flat hard ground anyway, i wouldnt worry about it, i dont use em in fact, never seen anyone that does
 
i wouldnt even bother using a bottle jack, unless it was the LR one with the 'V' shape at the top to go under the axle. They are so unstable anyway
