Just woke up this morning to find my discovery 2 had all its lights gone Does any one know of any company making metal light gaurds to try and stop this happening again ?

I sympathize and empathize with you completely. Over the years I've lost 6.
2 from the Landy in broad daylight in the city centre and 4 from the rally car.
You can't really take the lamps off every night can you?? Or put them in your rucksack when you go into Tesco!
God help any of these thieves if I ever caught one interfering with my motor.
Owners of real rally cars now have the problem solved to some extent.
There are available locking nuts which will deter the opportunists.
They are simply cylindrical 8mm thick discs rather than hexagonal nuts which you screw on to the exposed lamp thread sticking out past the hex nut. They are fixed in place with a small allan-key grub-screw. You could make them up yourself even from aluminium.
Of course they will not deter the determined well equipped thief - but most of the overnight snatchers are carrying only a 14mm spanner so's not to attract too much attention.
