Red land rover defender 90 stolen from the Lancaster area in north west stolen tonite . It has safari snorkel and a 2 inch lift . With yellow cranked trailing arms and disco alloys with maxis buck shot balloon tyres on . If any sees or hears any thing please p m me . Thanks for ya help guys .

the landy has been found! see pic just before police recover, The thief was apparently driving around in it with a set of false plates! I will post a pic of him etc after he has been dealt with in court

well the thief has been interviewed by police and has admitted that it was him that stole the Defender, however he claims that it was in fact his Defender that had been stolen from him in July and he had found it and simply decided to take it back! he was questioned about the VIN number etc that had been ground off and he claimed that it was like that when he took it, bearing in mind that that would mean that if it was as he claims then why go to the the trouble of grinding numbers off only to leave the VIN plate in tact?
Well thats that but the plot thickens!
During the early hours of Sunday morning 30th, the Defender was set a fire and has been destroyed! It was a deliberate act of arson.
It was parked in a supposed secure compound owned by the recovery company that is used by North Yorks Police.
