Hi

Please look out for my lovely Defender 90 XS stolen from my drive in Cradley Heath, West Midlands at around 9pm on Sat 19th November 2011. He's dark metallic blue, immaculate condition when last seen (please see attached pictures). Registration RK54 BYP. All XS features, no mods, checker plate, roof rack etc. My first Landy and I have only had him for 7 weeks, please get in touch if you see him or a Landy that could be him.
Many thanks
Juliet

Really really not a good idea to give a full description including VIN number and numberplates...really really not...

where did you buy it from mate ? ...keep a eye out at all the local landy sites for bits and bobs ...

Hi there

We bought it in Oxfordshire from a private seller. I will keep my eyes out for parts, thanks

I can't get the link to work but I am guessing you are the one who had one stolen after only 3 weeks in Cradley Heath? I saw your posting after mine went and I was trying to see what I could do. It is an uncomfortable coincidence but in all honesty, the police haven't even taken a description of him so all it seems it takes is a new set of plates (£5 on the web) and off they go. I'm guessing you didn't get yours back? At least this forum may build up a picture of 'hotspots', albeit too late for both of us.

Hi

Re: coincidence, nearby owners take note. I wish I had known about the other Cradley Heath theft before mine went too. Barricade yours in whilst you still can!
Cheers

Hi

I see I have responded twice now - why not make it three. Locals really do look out then because that is not a five min drive from where mine was lifted, and similarly, no broken glass and no noise
