From LandyWatch. No info on security devices or piccies yet I'm afraid....

Stolen sometime between midnight and 0900 on 08 August 2012 from Newtown area of Trowbridge

My son's Land Rover 90 pick up.

Registration F857 EYC

Blue in colour, 200Tdi engine swap, piece of wood replacing one rear cab window, significant dent (pulled out, sort of!) on front offside wing, no carpets, only one restraining strap on tailgate.

He's devasted, so any help/sightings appreciated.

I'll keep my eyes open. Out of curiosity what shade of blue is it and does it have any stickers on the back of it?

Hi Ratty...

Response received...

No pictures unfortunately. It was what I would call the darker LR blue and a white roof. The front O/S wing has been pushed out (pretty obvious). There is only one strap on the rear tail gate and there was only one piece of glass at the rear of the cab.

Have asked again about stickers.... let you know

Happy days

Great news! Found by Police about 2.5 miles away from where it was taken. Passenger door and ignition barrel jemmied. Looks like, contrary to our expectations, it was just joyriders!

Son is delighted! Making it more secure now!

LOL! and there never will be either! It's not the done thing you know! :deadhorse:

However, we can infer from the information inadvertently given by the victim post-recovery that security in use at the time of the theft was 'Feck All', which is quite comforting really.

I wonder how often the Clutch-Claw/Disklok combo has been defeated without the use of a flat bed truck.
