When i start up in the morning, for the first few moment of triying to turn the wheel it is ok to start with, then I find it realy stiff as if the pump is not working, then it clears up for the rest of the day.

Any one got any ideas.

Thanks

Thanks, The belt is not that old, but I will check the tension on it. Changing the oil was what I was trying to avoid doing.

Cheers, I have already checked the oil level, I will check the belt although there is no squeeling like a belt slipping.

sound like its just slipping on start up, just be that the belt is cold and need a lil tighten up thats all.

This sounds very much like the pressure valve in the pump is worn out. Check if there is foaming in the resevoir or signs of overflowing.

If either of those are present you will need to replace the pump as it is not repairable.
