Update.... I been out and changed the oil for atf as thats all i could get at the time and its not made my gears any slicker ar all, on the drain plug it had metal particles??? And i have stripped the centre console out to the point where the gear shift lever connect to the ball and sprayed with wd40. now i may strip it back again but remove the fear selector and anything else and respray with wd40??? Any advice im stumped

The metal particles are common, my magnet was full of them too
