Hi all, just learned that SP are now sadly in a voluntary liquidation state.

Unfortunately I have lost the installation instructions for their BMW MINI R50 based Power Steering Kit - SPCK339EPKR.

Does anybody have a copy they could share with me. In particular I need to know where to connect the 2/3 'control' wires into the LR wiring.

From the BMW diagram <I think> the yellow connects to a switched alternator feed and the GRN/WHT will connect to an ignition-on feed. (Hot +ve RED in from Battery and earth -ve BRN understood) I believe the pump's electronics first prime to run at 80% until it senses charging power above 12v/ amp increase/ then pumps at 100%.

Any help gratefully received.

Hi There, I have just got a PAS conversion working with the BMW mini pump used in the Steve Parkers conversion. This is on a Series 2A. The purple wire can be disregarded as this interfaces with system management controls, old Land Rovers aren't burdened with these. The green wire should go to the ignition circuit and be protected with a 5AMP fuse. I took the feed off the original Lucas 32AMP fuse box, the one that gets 'hot' when the ignition key is turned on. I took this into a small 'blade' fuse box that someone had added at some point, across a 5AMP fuse, and then to the pump. The yellow wire goes to the back of the alternator, and connects where the wire that controls the red charding light on the dashboard is connected. I just used a piggy back spade connector. This means that the pump only runs when the ignition is on and the alternator is spinning. This avoids drawing current to run the pump until the engine is spinning. Important: you will need an alternator, rather than a dynamo, and I believe you will need negative earth. I hope this helps and is not too late.
