hi all been having a few problems with my landy im a panel beater by trade and fairly confident mechanic but advise and tips are very handy and i have tons of questions to ask.
i bought it a few weeks ago with a few known problems from a friend who has had it quite a while well he paid £9000 for it 1996 tdi 300 es
143,000 miles full service history no expense spared full stainless exhaust with life time guarantee ect
was left sitting for about 3 months
the back window got smashed and the battery got stolen so i bought it.
the rear carpet was soaked and the boot floor is rusty not a problem for me.
removed carpet taped window up intill i got glass and rubber
put a battery on it immobilizer light flashed
2 button fob
replaced battery in fob
resync fob
now fob works
immobilizer light dont flash ect
but engine still will not crank
relay clicks in passanger foot well
so weekend going to do the normal checks starter , earths , SPIDER ,
i would like some info on off roading must have as i dont intend on goingout to get stuck but want to be able to go most places
