Had a look at steppingly byway today . A new gate has been put in at 507 end ,there is also a tro notice there. it says , Emergency temp closure on boat18 ,due to severedamage by motorised vehicles. no vehicles to use lane between 23julyto13aug . Tro could be extended after this date.I fear another lane is going to be lost .

Think the lane is now managed by centerparcs. They apparently put the lockable gates up earlier this year. Don't know how they can shut it because of damage. Ground is sandy down there. Thought it was funny why the gates went up.

It would be a shame to loose it
That was the first lane i ever went down
I know it can get a bit chewed up at the a507 end but ive never seen it that bad to need closing

It is a great lane... it doesnt get chewed up any more... the small water run was filled in a long while back. Centre parcs will try to have the lane closed but you must remember that the lane is not on Centre Parcs land... it actually borders it
