Hi guys,
I have 1 96 300 TDI 110. When I grab the top of the steering wheel and pull it towards me I get a load click/knock. It is almost as thought the wheel is loose but it isn't. Does anyone have any ideas please?

bushes/bearings in the steering column, or the rod that supports it is lookse. Take the console out and have a look behind it.

ok so had a look.
all tight it turns out that it is the shaft the steering wheel is attached to that pulls out of the sleeve about 1-2cm??
Any ideas guys, thanks for all your help
