Hi i was just driving my 109 2a and the steering has become very loose, it still turns the wheels but there seems to be no effort needed and the steering seems to be rather wrong (4 full revolutions of steering wheel for full lock which could be done using one finger)

When i parked it up i had a look over the system all the connecton bolts are tight, colum - steering box - drop arm - Steering tube - realy - drag link - track rod and ball joints.

However all the front axel and hub parts are the rusty brown colour landy go except both hubs / ball joints not sure what they are so will try to explain
On the inside of the wheel assembly drum brake then a ball like thing that goes to track rods? Both of them are really shiny silver which is not in keepin with everyhin else in this area,

Would take a picture of it but me camera on phone is nakered.

Any ideas?
