Just took my steering reach motor off and repaired the mounts with cable ties. Happy with the results, it now goes in & out fine & only took an hour to do, well worth doing. My knee can now move away from the dash  I did notice the threads were very dry and on first trying the motor it made a squeaking noise. It you do this job I would put a bit of copper slip on the reach threads as the threads being dry is probably what couses the white plastic bracket to snap. If you've got one of these with it still working it may be worth adding it to the service items just to be on the safe side.
Has anyone replaced the plastic clip? If it ever goes again may be worth doing, I've seen the bracket for sale on ebay for about £14 so if it's an easy job may do this anyway.
