Steering column switch renewal

Needed tae change the indicator/ horn etc switch on mine as it was playing silly buggers! This turned out to be the main switch that everything bolts to, so ye could use this to give ye an idea on how tae change yer other switches.

Here’s how Ah did it…

The steering column…

Ah removed the centre cap from the steering wheel and undid the nut (didn’t remove it completely incase the wheel came off and smacked me in the face!)….

then ah removed the dash and held it up out of the way with a bit of wire and removed the steering column covers…

Once it was removed ah prised off the wee locking circlip type thingy on the wash/wipe switch, undid the two bolts holding it on and removed the switch…..

It might be an idea tae disconnect the battery before ye start and make sure that yer wheels are in the straight ahead position ;)
