im buying some new wheels and tyres tomorrow but not sure on whether to go for modulars or 8 spokes if anyone has any pictures of their truck with either on would be much apreciated
As above, buy what YOU like and not what other think you should have.
I have attached a photo of my 90 when it was wearing silver modulars a few years ago just so you can get a view of what yours might look like. In my opinion they looked ok if a little like washing-machine drums and have long since been replaced by ZU's.
My current dislike of 8-spokes goes back to when I fitted a set of white 8-spokes to my S111 SWB V8 back in the 1980's (they were about the only wide wheel available back then apart from FC rims), I thought they looked great then but now I liken them to white Suzuki SJ's or an XR3i driven by a hairdresser i.e. really 1980's!

that is the downside:blabla:i like mach 5's but at 140 a corner i cant quite afford them lol
Don't forget the old disco steel wheels - they are proper strong steels, not cheap pressed items like the old 8 spokes. If you can get a good set off ebay, or a dirt cheap rusty set and get them proffesionally restored and sprayed to a cloour of your choice, they are good bet. Have a decent off-set so look good on a Defender! Just my thoughts
the offset is ****e on a fender and there pig ugly but each to there own

Buy the ones you like. Oh and there aint many truck owners on here.
you could roll them in glitter and gold plate them there still pig uglyThese are old disco wheels of mine off a 90... blasted and red leaded. I still have them after failing to sell them for £20 each. Think they may look okay sprayed black.... a silk finish may just do it
Bit more practical than alloys?
Might be a cultural thing, but I regard my 110 as a truck. Body on frame construction and solid axles, and a GVWR over 6000 lbs.
And it's on black modulars, but I want to swap to Wolf's.
