Evening All,
Just a quick one, got my engine filthy at the weekend,
Got one of them hand car wash things up my road, they were advertising engine steam clean for a tenner, so i thought LOVELY
So they started to do it, but im not too sure if it was actually a proper steam clean, it was more like a pressure washer on the misty setting,
Just wondering, should they have covered things up? and should engine be on or off?
because they left engine running, didnt cover anything up, just sprayed some like degreaser stuff over it, then washed it
Ok its come up very clean, looks good but i dont know if they have done it right,
on the way home she was making a high pitched screaling, which i would have thought is the belts from being wet or something
Also, when i got home i looked under the bonnet, found a sticker saying re wax after steam clean,
what wax should i use and where do i put it?
Could any one shed some light on steam cleaning for it, is it safe to do it? covering bits up etc,
on the way home it ran lovely, no mis fire etc too
