Can anybody help. I'm having problems with my 2010 freelander 2, I put the key in the ignition it goes through the usual system checks, I push the start but it just will not turn over, I have replaced the battery because it was on its way out, also the key gets stuck sometimes any ideas. Thx

Check the steering column lock is releasing?

What's the green light do on the key dock when it won't work?

Manual or auto?

Any warning lights or messages?

Any other problems recently?

As the steering column lock isn't releasing then that's the reason it won't start.

There's a software update to the instrument pack to improve the column unlocking. If this doesn't fix it then it's more then likely a new column lock needed

Do you get a message saying steering column locked on the dash?

Yeah a dealer or an independent LR specialist with the right kit!

Might be worth taking it to one of them anyway to get fault codes read and see if it gives a clue as to what's going on
