Hi all,
I've a small issue that's getting irksome. My '96, 4.0 (GEMS) starts fine (as a rule) from cold. But after running up to temperature if I've left it for a few minutes it's a complete sod to start.
It turns over fine but doesn't want to fire up. When it eventually does it runs rough. If I try to drive off in either drive or reverse it inevitably stalls leaving me to go through the whole rigmarole again.
If I touch the accelerator and hold it around 1000rpm (as much as possible, the revs are up and down like a lady of the night's undergarments) it will suddenly rev higher to approx 1500 rpm for a second or so and then settle again. After this it will drive fine.
I've got LPG but it even does it if I turn the LPG off and rely solely on petrol.
Any ideas?
