I've got a 98' 2.5 dt which has never been great at starting. It improved a great deal after heater plugs were replaced but now is crap at starting when facing up hill or on the flat. (Facing down hill it starts great)

No obvious bubbles in the clear pipe (but the pipe looks green and not too see through to me) and have 3/4 filled tank in case it's the pipe in the tank that has a pinhole in it. There seems to be fuel in the line so it doesn't seem to be running back into filter or tank. Also once or twice a week it stalls when changing gear at low revs (always in traffic and bloody dangerous!) Any suggestions?

hello mate try replacing the small leak off pipes between the injectors mate , over a period of time these pipes become hard and brittle causing air to enter the fuel system , thus allowing the fuel to run back , when you replace it dont forget to also replace the end which is plugged this is sometimes overlooked and can also be a culprit i hope this helps .
