hi all any one got a starter motor for a 2001 TD4 the bmw engine model mines getting lazy it wont through over first start after that its o/k I know its the starter cause ever thing has been checked out new battery on it

Why not just take it off and add new contacts and plunger only about an hours work link below, it is the same starter fitted to the M47 Rover 75 diesel.

The link below is for the diesel but petrol 2.0/2.5 are also available, also for a the 1.8 which is different, he will also take calls if you wish to go down that road.

I fitted two kits from him this year, one on the mother in law's V6 and one in my TD4.
The TD4 is by far the easiest to do, taking about an hour in total.

There's no point in fitting second hand starters, as you can guarantee the contacts will fail soon afterwards.
