dose any one know weather a 2.25 4cyl starter motor will fit a 2.6 6cyl?

They should be the same starter moter (RTC3854) so yes it will fit. RTC3854 now supersedes to an RTC5225N. This means that Land Rover have at some stage replaced the older type part with a slightly different part that should be compatable as a replacement for the older part.
