Hi guys had a problem with the starter on the L Series, changed the contacts and tested it by hard wire straight to the battery , the starter engages but doesn't spin. Is the starter given up?
The starter on mine started not turning. Didn't have much of an intermittent period either, it went directly from starting perfectly to being really bad.
They're not that expensive, so I didn't faff around trying to repair it, just replaced it.
This was showing signs that the contacts were worn ,just clicking or if you held the ignition on after about 30 secs it would turn over, but now I've changed the contacts it engages but doesn't spin, this is the second time I changed the contacts
