Morning All,
New to this page & looking for some help!
Have had issues with my 2006 Freelander TD4 for last 3 months, every now & then when I start, it will start but judders & cuts out - doesn't matter how much you attempt to rev or put foot on clutch it still cuts out. Have had the following done by a local garage: new glow plugs, new battery, egr valve replaced, new fuel pump. Have gone to collect it today after having a new fuel pump & it's still doing it - any advice or experience with this???
Thanks in advance
Daz

Hello,
I too have a TD4 2006, done 125,000 miles, its a 2.0 112hp, recently changed the rear fuel pump, airfilter, hoses, it was running fine, then decided it ws gonna mess bout on starting, what happens is turns over as quick as ever, starts runs for about 5 seconds and dies, can do this between 2 and 200 times before it runs, as luck would have it, i live on a hill, tried bumping it, at a stupid slow speed she starts, no problems, could there be a sensor that could play about while turning the key, but not be affected by a bump? thanks for your reply guys, tbh i joined some time ago and cant remember if i did a "hello"

There are two or three other threads currently with similar issues so no point in trying to repeat everything. Have a quick look and hopefully you'll find your answer but MAF sensor gets mentioned a lot

MAF, MAP and the pesky HpFP regulator O ring. O ring costs a fiver so I would start there. there is a link on the other threads Alibro mentions.
