I've reached a point in my build that I need to source a stainless exhaust for the above. I want to go with a side exit tailpipe. I'm looking at stainless as I want it to last - if I went mild steel it's going to be a pain to replace the custom pipework I'd have thought?

Anyone got any recommendations? I'm not opposed to trying to knock it up myself but I'd imagine welding stainless is a bitch.

By side exit do you mean through the bodywork or not?
Mate wanted the bodywork exit type, I told him it will be black all the time, he did it anyway and it was black all the time! in the end he removed it.
Welding stainless for an exhaust is no extra hassle, you can buy ready made bends etc from ebay and the like.

Yes, side exit through bodywork. It's going to be black anyway so not worried about that! So, I could just get the downpipe and midpipe then sort it from there I guess?

Mate had his custom made in stainless, have to say was a very smart job, but it did cost 350 quid! you and me could have knocked it up for 50 maybe 75 quid from mild steel.
Other thing is with side exit exhaust if you have a dirty diesel ie 200/300 the whole world can see any smoke you are making.
Also if off roaded and the tailpipe sticks out even a little bit it can get caught with expensive results, if to short all the snot blows inside the bodywork and makes it filthy to work on.

I don't NEED it...I'm rebuilding this for my young son and it is something he likes so I thought why not.

got my 110 custom stainlesse side exit, looks and sounds ace :) was a nice £400, but they took their time on it, it sits higher than the standard zorst, and was a full system right form the cat.
Make sure whatever you get has a flexi in the downpipe, ot it will suffer fatigue and fail prematurly.
