Chaps i need your help.... :D

I have purchased a Series III Stage 1 project Landy which came with the replacement engine outside of the vehicle, which is a 3.5 litre - CR9.3.1 - carb from a Range Rover classic.
Unfortunatley the RH side manifold is missing from the original engine as well as a few other items.

In the Parts Catalogue which i have attached shows the part ERC5925.
Can i use a regular Land Rover Disco/Range Rover Classic manifold...?

Also what is that Funnel Thing ERC6373 do....which i cant find anyboby supplies...? and do i really need it.

Anybody got any Stage 3 engine bay photos i could use to crib...?

Thanks in antisipation.
Steve

You can.... it's was a method used by LR to stop the carb icing up in cold (winter) weather.
On other vehicles with carbs that suffer from icing all we did then was to turn the air filter intake towards the exhaust manifold in winter.
With normal running the engine runs better with cool air ducted into the intake from the front of the vehicle.
