Usually it's the connectors under the seat. The ECU is reliable. what did you actually use to clean the connectors?
You really need diagnostics.

There is a connector below steering wheel just under the dash , found this to be the problem on mine. Take the panel off under the steering wheel and you will see the yellow wires bit fiddly but doable with care

I got diagnostics data will plug in again can't rember what it said but also I haven't cleaned the plug under the steering wheel oh the stuff I used is aero klene 50

Yer I've checked that data they are the correct wattage
So in that case, if the diagnostics are to be believed, one line to the bulbs is open circuit or high resistance, do both bulbs light with equal intensity?
If both bulbs light, it may be the ECU at fault although that would be unusual.

Coffee break is over, I'll have a look at the wiring in RAVE later, what year is your car and does it have side airbags?

W reg should have it could also be the connections to the seat belt tensioners, will need to remove door sill covers to get at those.

I've had the pre tensioners apart and cleaned them already will check the bulbs and do the only connection I've not done under the steering wheel

Had a chec both bulbs light the same but cannot find the yellow connection under the steering wheel but have found something unplugged but can't c where it's supposed to go so not sure what it's for will post a pic in a bit

Here's that plug for no use purple wires
