I've got the fairly common problem of having the SRS airbag fault message cropping up, usually when my wife needs to move the seat. Fiddling about with the crappy yellow connector under the seat usually sorts it for a while, but I'm wondering if there's anything to stop me replacing the connector with a better one of some sort, ie a minijack? Does anybody know if that would make the car blow up or have some sort of (other) electrical tantrum?
You can replace it with a 13 AMP plug and socket if you want to. Joke by the way. But one thing to remember when playing with any SRS connections is DISCONNECT BATTERY.
